It was all a dream, I used to read Fortune Magazine

Warren Buffett, Byron Wein up in the limousine!

Ok, sorry, I will stop that now. Sorry.

Anyway, it was pointed out to me that sometime last night I broke through 50,000 followers on Twitter.

When I started working on Wall Street, I never dreamed that I would one day be a financial markets commentator with my words and ideas in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, BusinessWeek, Fortune, the FT, Forbes, etc.

I grew up in this business reading everything the pros had to say, cutting out their columns and falling asleep reading the C Section of the Journal. And now somehow I’m on the other side – writing and saying the things that investors and colleagues in the industry are reading and hearing. It’s still mind-boggling to me (and to people who know me in real life, lol).

The fact that I’ve been lucky enough to have the platform I do is never lost on me.

So I just want to say thank you for reading my stuff and following my commentary in the media and on Twitter. It’s changed my life and this milestone would not have been possible without all of your encouragement and support.

I hope I’m helping, informing and entertaining you with what I do. Thanks again, guys, you’re the best.
