Macke and Me: What Have We Learned Since October 2007?

What have we learned since the last time the S&P traded at these levels? A lot and yet not much is probably the correct answer. I think I've gotten a lot better at understanding markets and the economy. It's easier for me to think that way rather than dwell on the ocean of knowledge I have yet to possess (and it is indeed vast).
This week I sat with my friend Jeff Macke to discuss what has changed and what hasn't.
