Too Much Chatter

Sorry for the posting drought, been trading up a storm all day…

One thing I’d like to just mention here as markets take out the highs of the day is that there is entirely too much takeover chatter all over the place, the most I’ve ever heard in one day.

And I’m not just referring to the usual “Private Equity for Radioshack” nonsense.  Some of the names we’ve heard this buzz about today on Fusion’s trading desk include Teradyne ($TER) and  Genworth ($GNW).

My friend The Goat reminds me that this is more indicative of a top, although it’s not a negative I can weight too heavily in the overall mix.

What’s everyone else seeing out there today?
