It’s been a minute since I’ve thrown up one of my crudely-drawn infographs for you guys, but I had some free time this weekend and access to my daughter’s magic markers.  I talk a lot about the absurdity of America’s overgrown FIRE sectors (Finance. Insurance. Real. Estate.).

Even post-crisis, we still seem to have an overwhelmingly large emphasis on paper-flipping over building stuff in this country.

I did the below infograph as a quick geographic guide to the “hot spots”…
