The Simpsons came around when I was 12 years old and I'm 99% certain that I've seen every single episode since; 20 seasons' worth.

CNN's Todd Leopold traces back all of the various influences on The Simpsons, like Tom & Jerry and Mad Magazine.  Then he looks at the shows that have The Simpsons as an influence in their own DNA, like South Park and The Daily Show.
