My Vote for the First US Execution of 2010

For some reason, a Nigerian national managed to get it into his head that Americans were in some way, shape or form responsible for the fact that his own country is serially unable to provide proper health care, education, clean drinking water or economic opportunity and has decided to detonate a poorly-constructed bomb on an airplane today.

Thankfully, the bomb didn't work and the plane has landed safely in Detroit with the son of a bitch subdued.

According to multiple news sources, he is claiming to belong to Al Quesadilla.

I want to congratulate would-be terrorist and mass murderer Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who has just locked up my vote for the First US Execution of 2010.

I sincerely hope they allow the passengers on board that flight and their family members to do the honors right on the runway.

Mr. Abdulmutallab, you are on the wrong side of humanity and history.  Your cause and its adherents will never win and you will all continue to live in poverty, ignorance and misery - through no fault of anyone's but your own.
