That buying has already happened from Sep to March, so I am just waiting now :)

Definitely agree and have been getting the same sort of questions. When it's all said and done there are and will be excellent setups on both the long and short side of things. I've been checking into bulk shippers, vegas, and commercial real estate for pairs trades.

I THInk you can beat your sector nowadays as it seems that the better companies quality-wise are lagging the junkier ones. so its counter-intuitive but i suppose its different than the everyone up-everyone down thing

the worse the stock the better it does against its competitors lately

Its a little late, but I'm still looking for another entry point into retail pairs (and pairs +) trades, e.g Long ANF, short ARO.

I've also been watching the fast food, quick casual, and casual dining chains, there's some interesting opportunity there based off a number of factors including one's "macro" economic outlook, similar to the ANF/ARO trade.

For example, if one believes (which I don't per se) that the worst is behind us and its green shoots and smiles from here on out, then PNRA should be giving up ground as folk's go back to "more expensive" casual dining, and ARO should shed whatever market share it picked up over the past year or two.

Just some food for thought, consult your investment advisor (TRB).
